Who are we?
We are a small group of local residents who come together to plant native trees on Morgans Valley red zoned land.
History
Prior to the earthquake, Phil Johnson, who owned the large homestead block in Morgans Valley, had contracted Trees for Canterbury to plant several thousand native trees on his land with the intention of one day making this area available to the public to enjoy. Sadly, the Johnson family, among many others, had to retreat from their home and land post-earthquake. We are undertaking to complete the regeneration of Phil’s and other red-zoned land in Morgans Valley.
